G-MODE Corporation and developers room6 and Game Studio announced that the remake of the 1983-released Famicom adventure game The Portopia Serial Murder Case will launch for Switch 2, Switch, and PC via Steam on March 4, 2027 in Japan. The game will only support Japanese as a language option. The remake, supervised by executive director Yuji Horii, features five new investigation files told from shifting perspectives and a new cast of characters. Players will investigate alongside these characters to uncover the secrets hidden behind the original murders in 1980s Kobe. The game is a menu-driven, command-selection text adventure game where players utilize various commands to navigate the investigation by gathering witness statements and physical evidence.
