Indie developer Novemtails and publisher Assemble Entertainment have announced that Under Canopies, a peaceful survival game, will enter Early Access on Steam on October 23, 2026. The game, priced at 14.99€, has gained significant visibility during the recent Steam Next Fest, featuring on Steam’s main page and reaching over 50,000 wishlist additions, including 11,000 during the event. Player feedback praised the game's peaceful gameplay, forest atmosphere, wildlife, photography, and combat-free survival, with suggestions for improving tutorials, controls, settings, inventory, storage, and overall polish. The developer and publisher have noted these suggestions and implemented many of them in the Early Access version. Under Canopies is a non-violent survival game about building a home in the forest and learning to live in harmony with nature, where players explore, gather, craft, nurture, and grow, and care for animals, photograph wildlife, and learn about the ecosystem to unlock new discoveries and opportunities.
