Brickworks Games and HypeTrain Digital have extended the open playtest for Sublustrum, a first-person psychological narrative adventure, due to strong player interest. The playtest will now remain available through November 9. This extension gives more registered playtesters additional time to participate, including those who have not yet had a chance to try the build.
Sublustrum is also taking part in the Point and Click Steam Showcase, running November 2, 9, and the team expects the event to bring new players to the game. Players can join the playtest through the game’s Steam page and play Chapter One, the opening section of Sublustrum. The team invites players to share feedback as development continues.
The playtest covers the opening chapter of the game and offers a first look at how Sublustrum plays. Players will explore its opening locations, start following the trail left by the protagonist’s brother, and encounter environmental puzzles where paying attention, especially to sound, is key. The game is about mystery, memory, and sound, and players will have to uncover what happened to the protagonist’s brother and what lies beyond his final experiment.
Sound is part of the gameplay, and players will have to tune frequencies, follow voices, pick up audio clues, and use what they hear to solve puzzles. The game is a classic reimagined, rebuilt from the ground up by members of the original team, and it is a fully explorable 3D adventure. Brickworks Games is an independent game studio based in Limassol, Cyprus, and HypeTrain Digital is an indie game publisher helping developers bring their visions to life on PC and consoles worldwide.
