Deranged Games, an independent UK studio, has opened a new playtest for LAG Kills, an upcoming horror game, ahead of the Steam Scream Fest. The playtest marks an important milestone for the game, being the last build update to the singleplayer update before game development shifts toward co-op. Players can request access directly through the LAG Kills Steam page.

The game's objective is simple: know when to loot, know when to hide, and try to escape before the lagging homeowner catches you. The current open playtest delivers a more developed singleplayer experience with new hiding spots, an inventory system, and a revamped lobby. The studio aims to combine psychological horror with cooperative gameplay, offering players a raw and unpredictable survival challenge.

Additional details will be made available as development progresses. Players can follow the game's development by joining the Official Discord Server and other social media accounts.
