A canceled movie spinoff, Paranormal Activity: Threshold, has been revived as a free playable archive on Steam, available to horror fans today. The game tells a classic tale of a young couple's home renovations gone wrong, with a mysterious object and ominous entity at the center of the story. The game features found footage, rituals, and strange symbols, all hallmarks of a spooky horror experience.
The game's developer, Brian Clarke, worked with publisher DreadXP to bring the project back to life after it was canceled by Paramount earlier this year. Clarke expressed relief that the project would no longer be a 'forgotten relic of development' and was proud to share what he had accomplished. The game has no save system, requiring players to complete it in one sitting.
