Ice Quake Studios has launched a closed beta for Project S.U.N.D.I.A.L., a 2D pixel art PvPvE extraction shooter inspired by S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Escape from Tarkov. The game is being developed for both single-player and online multiplayer, with the current beta focusing on single-player experience. Players enter a post-apocalyptic zone to scavenge supplies, take on contracts and extract with their loot, while also developing their hideout and preparing their equipment through a detailed weapon assembly system. The game features loot extraction with gear loss on death, extensive weapon assembly and customisation, hideout upgrades and survivor management, body-part injuries and medical treatment, and six regions with semi-procedural layouts and events. Journalists and content creators can request a Steam beta key at contact@ice-quake.com, while players can also request access through the official Discord or pressengine.
