Final Fantasy Resonance's Visions mechanic has captured the imagination of turn-based RPG fans, offering a unique twist on traditional summons. By engaging with short tales of heroes from previous games, players can unlock combat-ready assist companions that grant different magic and attacks, as well as permanently enhance baseline stats. With 26 legendary companions available, series veterans will be pleased to see iconic characters like Sephiroth and Lightning join the fray. Each legacy Vision feels and looks exactly how you'd want them to, complete with animations and music appropriate to the titles they're originally known for.

The Visions mechanic fundamentally alters and personalizes party proficiencies in combat, with each Vision having a specific role/job status where they excel. By mixing and matching Visions, players can create specialists or all-rounders, and as party members use a Vision, their level of affinity grows, resulting in more bonuses for that character. The Visions mechanic also allows for spectacular uses of power, such as cinematic finishers like Cloud's brutal Ascension Resonance.
