Inherited is an atmosphere-driven psychological horror game where players awaken after a mysterious accident on a lonely road and find themselves trapped inside an isolated house. The deeper players explore, the more it seems to understand that they are there, and the more questions they have about what is real, what may be a fractured memory, and why the player was brought there in the first place.
Exploration is at the heart of Inherited, with objects, sounds, lighting, documents, recordings, and environmental details contributing to the mystery surrounding the property and its previous inhabitants. Players will need to carefully investigate their surroundings, connect clues, and solve environmental puzzles in order to unlock new areas and uncover fragments of the story.
Progress does not simply mean finding the next door, but understanding what happened inside the house and what role the player has inherited within its repeating cycle. Environments in Inherited are not static, and as players uncover more of the mystery, spaces can begin to change around them, constantly encouraging players to question their own memory of the environment.
