A team of modders has successfully ported Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode to the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which was released in 2021 without the multiplayer content. The mod, created by the ME3Tweaks team, will be available for free on N7 Day, November 7th, for those who already own the Legendary Edition. The modders have spent the last three years working on the project, which includes upgrading the lighting and graphics to match the Legendary Edition's engine improvements.

Mgamerz, the lead developer, has spoken about the project's challenges, including replicating the game's shaders and textures. The mod will allow players to experience the multiplayer mode with improved graphics and lighting, and is available to download now on Nexus Mods.
