Apex Legends: Cipher, the upcoming season, brings smarter play and more firepower to the battle royale game, with a focus on gathering essential intel for squads to outthink and outgun opponents. The season introduces new features, including a new firmware upgrade for Crypto's Surveillance Drone, which now runs on batteries and can be redeployed without a cooldown, and a new Akimbo Wingman that allows players to dual-wield revolvers for double the damage. Strongholds, a new type of loot, offer high-tier, high-risk loot in a loud package, but also trigger an alarm that reveals players' location.
Apex Legends: Cipher will launch on November 3 for multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via the EA App, Epic Game Store, and Steam. The season also includes Legend buffs for Revenant and Lifeline, with Revenant becoming more aggressive and Lifeline gaining improved flight mobility and self-heal while gliding. Ranked updates, including new Legend Bans in Diamond lobbies and above, will also be introduced in the season.
