Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown will be available on October 29, 2026 for XBOX Series X/S, XBOX on PC, with XBOX Play Anywhere support.
Charting the Unknown adds new storylines, ocean exploration, romance, stronghold management, boss rushes, and more.
XBOX players can try Crimson Desert Enhanced with a 5-hour Free Trial from October 29, 2026 through January 7, 2027.
Since its launch in March, the world of Crimson Desert , where Kliff and the Greymanes fight to rebuild what they lost , has grown with each update. Alongside improvements, the game has received brand new content, including boss rematches, and new features shaped by players’ adventures and stories across Pywel.
In August, we released Patch Version 2.00. The free update added new story moments and expanded voice-over and language support. Together with all the post-launch updates up to that date, the update came out as Crimson Desert Enhanced.
Lastly, with the launch of Charting the Unknown on October 29, Pywel is growing once again with even more adventures. The DLC brings new journeys across land and, for the first time, at sea, along with new ways to enrich your life in Pywel. Charting the Unknown is available now on XBOX Series X|S.
We want to thank all our Greymanes out there for the incredible support they have shown for Crimson Desert since launch. Your love for the game has brought us this far, and we are excited for you to experience what the DLC has to offer.
Now, let’s take a look at what awaits you in Charting the Unknown.
Charting the Unknown introduces three new storylines, one each for Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane. With the fight for the Greymanes and Pywel behind them, each character sets out to forge their own path. Along the way, they will meet allies and threats both old and new, and chart their own course forward.
The DLC brings something many players have been asking for: ocean exploration. Dive into the sea and explore the underwater world, where you will discover ruins, treasure chests, and new creatures and mounts. You can also build your own ship and set sail across the Great Ocean of Pywel.
Charting the Unknown also deepens life in the world. Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane can form deeper bonds with some of Pywel’s inhabitants. Interact with them to build trust and strengthen your relationship, which may eventually blossom into romance and even marriage.
An upgraded housing system now lets you build your house from the ground up. And from the layout of the interior to the placement of walls, windows, and other structural elements, you have more control than ever to design your home, sweet home. There’s more: select castles, once liberated, can become yours. This will allow you to decorate their courtyards and interiors with unique objects and furnishings, turning a hard-won stronghold into another place you can call your own.
Also, if you want to take a more active role in the strongholds you have liberated, you can lease certain facilities such as a restaurant or a smithy and run them yourself. Assign equipment and comrades, decide which goods to sell, and grow each location’s recognition.
For those who don’t always like life too peaceful, Charting the Unknown has new content for you. The Garden of Trials is a combat-focused challenge where you face the bosses you have met throughout your adventures in Pywel, one after another. So test your skills and mettle to see if you hold up against these formidable foes.
Whether you are a seasoned Greymane or just taking your first steps in Pywel, there is plenty to discover.
And if you have not set out on the journey yet, this is the perfect time to do so! Crimson Desert is offering a 5-hour free trial of the base game for XBOX players from October 29 through January 6, so take the opportunity to step into Pywel and reach beyond!
