Ubisoft has confirmed that no more Assassin’s Creed remakes are planned, following the success of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The company’s head of content Jean Guesdon stated that the Resynced remake taught Ubisoft a lot, but none of the lessons will be applied to future remakes. Instead, Ubisoft is focusing on new Assassin’s Creed titles, including projects with new settings and stories. Guesdon did leave the door open for revisiting classic titles in the future, but for now, there are no plans for remakes.

Ubisoft has given an update on its Assassin’s Creed multiplayer game codenamed Invictus and its darker, horror-based Assassin’s Creed codenamed Hexe. Guesdon explained that hundreds of players joined the first private Insiders Session for Invictus and provided feedback to the development team. The response to the return of PVP multiplayer was positive, but the team is still working on the game, and more information will be shared in the future. As for Hexe, Guesdon suggested it may still be a while off, with more information coming next year at some point.
