Ocelot Technologies has shared a devlog for Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds, previewing new features ahead of the tactical RPG's full Version 1.0 release. The October update introduces Hero Mode, the Archives dungeon, and new skills for the Rogue, Pyromancer, and Engineer schools. Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds is currently on sale at 20% off in Early Access on Steam. The new Hero Mode feature combines Tactician difficulty with a single save and changes to select encounters, challenging players to prepare for battle carefully as every decision counts. When a player dies in a Hero Mode attempt, they can continue their adventure on Tactician difficulty and finish their playthrough normally. The Archives has also been revealed, as a sprawling dungeon within an ancient elven library, filled with fresh discoveries and important revelations about the main storyline, including the activities of the chronomancer Thevyre. Character progression expands with new abilities, including Wraith, which allows Rogues to become invisible for three turns, and Chainfire Blast, which grants Pyromancers the ability to launch fireballs which ricochet between targets. Engineers gain Wildcard surfaces, an unpredictable new surface type that randomly adopts the effects of existing surfaces, creating new strategies to be deployed on the battlefield. Over 200 skills are anticipated for the 1.0 release.
