Cloth Cat Games' chaotic multiplayer game Planted! has launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, inviting players to face off against friends in fast-paced horticultural combat for 1-4 players. The game features eight unique multiplayer arenas, playable in both local and online multiplayer with crossplay support, as well as a separate single-player story mode.
Players can choose from a cast of unlikely characters with their own personality and style, and use power-ups like weed bombs and spud turrets to gain an edge in competition. Ben Cawthorne, Creative Producer at Cloth Cat Games, expressed excitement about the game's launch, stating that the team has poured their heart and soul into it.
Ed Gregory, Senior Publishing Manager at Curveball Games, also praised the game, calling it the perfect game to play with friends. Planted! will launch digitally on PC in time for Christmas, with a physical PlayStation 5 release also planned. A Nintendo Switch version is set to launch digitally in early 2027, with a physical release planned for 2027.
