Jagex has introduced a new permanent game mode in Old School RuneScape called Hardcore Worlds, where players have only one life and must face the toughest challenge in Gielinor yet. This mode is separate from the main game and comes with its own economy, allowing players to trade and access the Grand Exchange, but with the added risk of permanent death.
If a character dies, the Reaper offers a choice to reset progress and start over or be banished to the main game, keeping progress and gear but losing certain items. Players will need to practice caution as death is forever in Hardcore Worlds. The Reaper has been waiting a long time for this, and in a game mode where death is forever, every decision counts.
