Thief: The Dark Project Remastered, a modern recreation of the 1998 pioneering 3D stealth game, will release for PC and consoles on December 3. The game includes Thief: The Dark Project, additional missions, content, and updates from the 1999 Thief Gold re-release, and an all-new narrative campaign, The Tarnished Mirror. The Tarnished Mirror is a self-contained campaign designed to feel immediately familiar, serving as a bridge between Thief: The Dark Project and Thief II: The Metal Age.
It introduces new factions, environments, and Lovecraftian horror, pushing scale and atmosphere beyond the original game’s limits while preserving its identity. The campaign is built entirely using the technology and visual language of the remaster, and is compatible with player-created mods, including The Black Parade. The game will be available in Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions, as well as physical editions for PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch 2, including a Steelbook Edition and a Deluxe Trapezoid Edition.
All physical versions for the Nintendo Switch 2 are playable on the original Nintendo Switch.
