Primal Planet, a handcrafted metroidvania with couch co-op, is now out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game, developed by solo developer Albert van Zyl aka Seethingswarm, blends combat, exploration, survival, and crafting with a story told without dialogue. Players take on the role of a prehistoric dad protecting his family from dinosaurs, savage tribes, and ancient aliens. A second player can join in local co-op, controlling a tiny dinosaur sidekick. The game is available for $19.99, with a 10% discount for PlayStation Plus members and Xbox players at launch. It will also be released on Steam, GOG, and Nintendo Switch.
