Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days Update #16 Adds Recruitable Dogs and Shelter Overhaul

PikPok has released Update #16 for Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, introducing new features to the game's Early Access version on PC. The update includes recruitable dogs that players can encounter while scavenging and recruit to their shelter, with three breeds available. Once recruited, dogs require care and can influence survivor morale and shelter events.

The update also introduces weapon repair mechanics and rebalanced durability, alongside overhauled shelter defences. This expands the systems players must manage to protect their group in zombie-infested Texas. The full 1.0 release of Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is planned for March 2027 on multiple platforms.
