The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on Nintendo Switch 2 has received a high score of 37 out of 40 from Japanese publication Famitsu, with four critics giving scores of 10, 9, 9, and 9. The review praised the game's comfortable new camera settings, user-friendly controls, and rich graphical detail. However, some reviewers felt the game was a little simplistic compared to modern titles and had moments that could confuse the player.

The original Nintendo 64 version of the game was the first to score a perfect 40 in Famitsu's history, but the context was different at the time. The remake is released on November 5 as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.
