Daedalic Entertainment has confirmed that the Home & Harbor Expansion for Barotrauma will be available on December 2, allowing players to build and manage their own outposts and encounter the mysterious technocratic Descendants, a new faction in the game. The expansion adds player-owned outposts to the sci-fi submarine simulator, enabling players to own, develop, customize, manage and defend their own homes, as well as access new gameplay through them.
The expansion also includes a free update for all players, which ties-in to the base game and develops the Barotrauma experience further. Barotrauma is a sci-fi submarine simulator with both a single-player campaign and co-op modes for up to 16 players, who must navigate the depths of Jupiter’s frozen moon Europa and fulfill various missions.
The game has been in development since its Early Access launch in summer 2019 and has received regular updates, with over 50,000 fan creations hosted on its Steam Workshop.
