FIRESTARTERS, a lightning-fast arcade movement FPS, has entered Early Access on Steam, featuring Episode 1 of 4, with the remaining episodes arriving as free updates throughout Early Access. The game challenges players to earn their freedom, or die trying, in a world where health pickups and ammo drops are scarce. Players take on the role of Kera, an ex-delinquent and current convict, fighting for STEEL, the world's top-rated livestreamed gladiator bloodsport. The game has been described as “a bit like Quake, a bit like Rollerdrome, and looks like good, bloody fun” by Rock Paper Shotgun. The game is priced at £6.99 / $9.99 / €6.99 for Episode 1, with price increases planned as future episodes release. Lead developer Alex Harte says, "I wanted to build something that feels like a shot of adrenaline to the system."
