Lazy Marmot Games has announced a digital adaptation of Sekigahara, a historical block wargame designed by Matt Calkins and published by GMT Games. The game challenges players to take command of one of two major factions vying for control of a fractured 16th-century Japan. The digital adaptation will feature a scenario editor, configurable AI, game variants, replay mode, and quality-of-life features.
It is slated for release on PC, Mac, and Linux in Q1 2027 on Steam, with single player and cross-platform online multiplayer modes. The studio aims to capture the strategic depth of the tabletop classic while making it more accessible and fun to play.
