Petal Runner, a Game Boy Color-style slice-of-life RPG, will launch for Switch 2 and PC via Steam on March 8, 2027, according to publisher iam8bit and developer Nano Park Studios. The Switch 2 version is newly announced, and a demo is available now for both platforms. The game is a love letter to the Game Boy Color Era, featuring charming pixel art graphics composed of four main colors, inspired by retro games.
Players will become a specialized courier known as a Petal Runner for the newest generation of artificial pet technology, exploring the sun-soaked city of Sapphire Valley and training to become Petal Runners. The game's open world is filled with charming discoverable interactions and side adventures that feature other challenges and minigames.
