Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima made a surprise cameo in a new animated short from My Chemical Romance, Prelude to The End, a stop-motion dark fairytale based on director Lauren Tsai's The Dying World. The seven-and-a-half-minute project serves as a vehicle for a 20th anniversary music video for My Chemical Romance's "The End."
Kojima's role in the video is a quick voice role as The Teacher, scolding main character Astrid about late work in her third voicemail. He's far from a stranger to cameos, having appeared in the Metal Gear Solid series and CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077. His collaboration with My Chemical Romance might have been especially exciting, given his well-documented love for the band's music.
