Korean studio Narrowdeep is set to release a Steam demo for their mystery thriller visual novel Inquisitor Shepherd on November 11, 2026. The demo will include Japanese voice acting and will deliver a deeply immersive heresy trial experience. The full game is scheduled for release in 2027. Inquisitor Shepherd is set in Vucrium, a country steeped in religious fervor, where players take on the role of an inquisitor investigating a case of heresy.
Every choice made directly impacts the ending, with multiple distinct outcomes awaiting the player. The game revolves around 15 unique characters, each holding their own secrets and stories, and players must engage with them in conversation to gather information and piece together the truth. The game also features a special ability called 'Sin Powder,' which heightens the player's senses and allows them to uncover hidden information.
Narrowdeep is a two-person indie game development studio founded in 2016, and the studio's members have stated that their goal is to create games that delve narrowly but deeply into a single concept and world, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in it.
