Minecraft has been released on the Nintendo Switch 2, offering improved visuals and exclusive content. The game includes the visual upgrade, Vibrant Visuals, which enhances elements such as directional lighting and volumetric fog. Players can enjoy this upgrade on the Minecraft Marketplace as well. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition also features the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack, now updated to take advantage of the Vibrant Visuals. This pack includes iconic locations from the Mario series and 15 tracks and 40 player skins inspired by the series.
Players can choose from three digital versions of Minecraft: the Standard Edition, the Deluxe Collection, or the Ultimate Collection. For those who already own a version of Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch, upgrade paths are available between October 27, 2026, and January 31, 2027. Owners of physical versions can also upgrade to the digital Ultimate Collection at a discount during this period.
