Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that Chucky will be removed from stores on November 24, 2026, due to an expired license. The removal of Chucky follows the exit of Pinhead last year and Michael Myers just months ago. Behaviour Interactive stated that while its goal is to keep licenses in the game forever, it's not always possible to retain them, and some franchises may depart.
The studio has assured fans that horror icons will continue to have an open invitation to join or rejoin the game in the future. Existing owners of Chucky and his associated cosmetics will still be able to use that content after the removal date. Behaviour Interactive has also stated that Dead by Daylight will always be gaming's House of Horror, and horror icons will continue to have an open invitation to join or rejoin the game in the Fog.
