Independent studio F5 Games has released House of the Lost: Revived on Steam for Windows PC and Steam Deck, priced at $9.99 with a 20% discount during launch week. The game is a top-down action roguelike that blends the chaotic item-driven runs of The Binding of Isaac with the dungeon-crawling spirit of classic Zelda, wrapped in a cartoon-Halloween world of cute-creepy monsters. Players descend into an ever-shifting haunted House to rescue their missing sister, battling through four boss domains where every run reshuffles the layout, the enemies, and the loot. The game's solo developer, Brandon Pollet, stated that the OUYA version was the director's cut, and that the best version of the game died with the console in 2013. Fourteen years after the first players knocked on the House's door, this is the version they always wanted to make, on a platform that isn't going anywhere. The game is also available on the iOS App Store and Google Play.
