Warhorse Studios, the developer behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance, has been hit by a serious cyberattack. The company is working with cybersecurity experts to secure its systems, investigate the incident, and assess its full impact. Warhorse has also reached out to authorities to track down the culprits, who accessed company systems and data.

The extent of the attack isn't clear at the moment, and the studio will share updates as it can. Martin Frývaldský, CEO of Warhorse Studios, described the incident as serious and said the company's immediate priority is to secure its systems and protect its employees, partners, and community. Warhorse is currently working on a Lord of the Rings RPG and a new Kingdom Come game.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 launched last year to critical and commercial acclaim. This month, Japanese developer Capcom was also hit with a cyberattack which saw 196 customer accounts compromised. Retailer Playasia was also taken offline. These hacks coincide with what security experts have dubbed “Black October” in which AI agents have disrupted internet security.

It isn’t clear if Capcom, Playasai, or the Warhorse hack is related to that.
