Dionous Games and developer Lightfoot Bros Games have released Sleepytime Village, a hand-drawn, voice-acted point-and-click adventure, on PC via Steam and GOG, the day before Halloween. The game features a 20% launch discount until 11 13 November 2026. Sleepytime Village is the story of Rufus, a neglectful, workaholic father who wakes up trapped inside a children's storybook reality, haunted by the village's residents and visions of his own childhood.

Players must find a way out and work out what the Village wants from him, meeting melancholy toys, sentient furniture and unnerving creatures along the way. The game is inspired by classics such as Monkey Island and Broken Sword, and is spooky rather than gory, with a darkly funny tone throughout. The characters were designed from real drawings by writer Steven Horry's young daughter, re-imagined by Ukrainian artist Yulia Lapko and animated by James Lightfoot.

The result is a family-created, handcrafted world of more than 70 hand-drawn playable scenes. Review keys are available on request.
