Norwegian developer Preben's one-person studio, Hamre Games, has unveiled Taverns of Aldermont, a first-person tavern game set in a medieval town. The game is available to wishlist on Steam now, and a free playable demo is coming soon. Players inherit their grandfather's run-down tavern, the Old Hearth, and bring it back to life by pouring ale, cooking, serving, and managing finances. They also venture into town to buy supplies and interact with regulars, each with their own personality, story, and running jokes. When conflicts arise, players settle disputes with their fists.
