Switzerland-based solo developer nospacelost and indie publisher Shoreline Games have launched Kick, a cosy side-scrolling slice-of-life adventure on Steam. The game invites players into a Japanese-inspired world filled with playful football challenges and familiar childhood experiences. Players will practise their skills, race to catch trains and discover shortcuts to shave precious seconds off their journey to beat the school bell.
Kick features 23 levels, each with its own hazards and opportunities, and allows players to collect coins to unlock skins for their ball and flags. Players can also choose to disable timers for a more laid-back experience. Shoreline Games is an independent publisher focusing on unique narrative-driven games, and Kick is their latest addition to their catalog of indie titles.
