Iron Loop Games has announced the launch of its turn-based tactical RPG Instruments of Power on Steam, set for January 28, 2027, with a launch week discount of 17% off the $17.99 price tag. The game allows players to build their own spells in an editor, with options to spread fire, raise walls of ice, and blast enemies with lightning. The game follows the story of a sorceress who must navigate through expendable avatars to find her lost body, with a larger story and moral choice awaiting her. 15 unique foes, known as Archons, will challenge players with their powers, including teleportation and spell mirroring. A new demo is expected to arrive in the coming weeks, rebuilt to reflect the final game. Review keys will be available in January on request.
