A remake of the 1999 PS1 horror game Silent Hill is reportedly in the works by Bloober Team and Konami, with a 2027 launch target and a cast featuring Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew, according to a leak from MP1ST. Fritz has worked in various games and TV shows, while Matthew is known for British TV appearances. The report speculates that Fritz and Matthew could play roles such as Cybil Bennett, Lisa Garland, or Dahlia Gillespie, but the protagonist Harry Mason's role remains unclear.
The 2027 release window aligns with Konami's recent Silent Hill projects, including Townfall this year and Silent Hill f in 2025, with producer Motoi Okamoto planning "second and third waves" of new Silent Hill games. This would make the remake of the first Silent Hill game the beginning of the second wave of new Silent Hill projects, with the first wave consisting of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall.
