Montreal-based developer Spearhead Games has unveiled Zack Bishop and the Forbidden Moon, a sci-fi action-RPG that sends players on a swashbuckling adventure through dangerous regions and ancient dungeons, contending with everything from overefficient war machines to demanding alien locals with agendas of their own. The game follows Zack Bishop, a space trucker who finds himself shipwrecked and stranded on an uncharted moon after an unexpected job change.

Players must explore, fight, and craft their way home while deciding whether to help the moon's inhabitants or intimidate them into assisting with their escape. The game features a mysterious artifact called the Arbiter, which serves as a jetpack and becomes a valuable tool in Zack's arsenal. Spearhead Games co-founder Atul Mehra says the team is pleased to reveal their latest project, which marks a bold new direction for the studio, leaning into pulp sci-fi and open-ended gameplay.

Zack Bishop and the Forbidden Moon is in development for PC and consoles and will launch in early 2027, with a wishlist available on Steam now.
