Mass Effect fans are rallying to save the franchise after EA canceled Mass Effect 5 and put the gaming side of the franchise on indefinite hold, leaving players confused and hurt, especially on the series' annual November 7 holiday, N7 Day. The unofficial group We are Mass Effect organized a two-minute video message featuring appearances from the original Mass Effect trilogy's voice cast, including Jennifer Hale, Ash Sroka, Keythe Farley, Kimberly Brooks, Mark Meer, Steve Blum, and Brandon Keener, all calling to "Save Mass Effect" in the wake of BioWare's closure.

The video message was a special gesture from the developers and actors behind the stories and characters fans love, who still made sure to get together for a video message despite the lack of official festivities this year.

The video message was a call to action, with fans also taking their fight straight to EA's front door, including launching a petition that has gained over 310,000 signatures, and driving a mobile billboard around EA headquarters in Redwood City, California. More billboards are live today, including one posted up around the former BioWare offices in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with another set to appear around The Game Awards next month.

Former project director and executive producer Michael Gamble also sent a message to fans for N7 Day, thanking them for their love and passion for the Mass Effect universe and expressing hope for its future.
