An update for Nier: Automata has unexpectedly increased the game's file size from 50GB to 366GB on Steam, reportedly due to a bug that adds the full game's file size to each DLC, requiring 366GB of space to install the full game and its add-ons.
The issue has been confirmed by RPG Site, and it's likely that a hotfix will address the problem soon, suggesting that players should hold off on installing the update or the game until then, and consider switching off auto updates on Steam if necessary.
The update itself only added support for three new languages, and the game's store page still lists the required space as 50GB, but players are being asked for the additional space when attempting to install it after purchase, leading to negative reviews from those affected by the issue.
