Grasshopper Manufacture CEO Goichi Suda, aka Suda51, has confirmed that something is being planned to mark the 20th anniversary of No More Heroes next year. The game was released in Japan on December 6, 2007, and in the West in 2008. Suda stated that Marvelous Entertainment, the game's publisher, is aware of the anniversary and plans to collaborate on a special project.

Suda also revealed that Travis Touchdown will definitely be back, but did not provide further details on what this could entail. The possibilities include a sequel, remaster, remake, or other game. Suda previously considered No More Heroes 3 to be Travis's last battle, but left the door open for a potential return if fans demand it.

Grasshopper Manufacture has recently become independent from its former parent company, NetEase Games, and is committed to creating unique titles with its signature flavor and enhanced quality.
