AUSTIN, TX, Indie studio Fiveamp has released Endless Bloom, the biggest update yet for NIMRODS, its chaotic roguelite shooter, after four months of open beta and thousands of changes. The update introduces Endless Mode, a highly requested feature where players can continue fighting against enemies past the final boss with no player level cap. The update also includes a new biome, Violet Forest, and a new NIMROD, Bubba, as well as new guns, augments, and Airdrop Pods. The economy, missions, and XP progression have been rebuilt from scratch, and final bosses now have distinct attack patterns. Steam Leaderboards and Steam Achievements have also been added, and quality of life features such as save slots and rebindable keys have been implemented. The update lays the groundwork for NIMRODS 1.0, with the team's focus shifting to content and balance in the future.
