The last major content update for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has been released, adding New Game+ and Nightmare difficulty modes to the game. The update, version 1.0.8, is the final major one that adds new content to the game, with smaller quality-of-life patches to be released in the future to fix bugs and other issues. The New Game+ mode allows players to play through the game again with all previous unlocks and upgrades carried over, with Elite Soldiers appearing more often and maximum rank ships patrolling the waters. The difficulty ramps up each time players dive back in, with the option to play up to New Game+++++. A new currency has also been added to New Game+ mode, allowing players to buy new outfits and items exclusive to that mode. Nightmare difficulty mode has been added, where enemies do extra damage, parrying timing is reduced, stealth is made much harder, and players can now die with one hit. Other additions include new hidden chests, some with special community requested rewards, and the return of some takedown animations from the original game. The update also includes various bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. The developers thanked fans for their support and expressed their gratitude for bringing back Edward’s legacy to life.
