Independent developer Mike Neu of MGP Studios has announced the full release of Unbroken: The Awakening, a first-person shooter and RPG that combines visceral combat, exploration, and grindhouse atmosphere. The game is now available on Steam after its Early Access development period. The full release features nine possible endings, new locations, expanded gameplay systems, and a world shaped by player decisions. Players must navigate a world of warring factions, hidden passages, and questionable allegiances to hunt down a traitor, with their actions influencing the world and its inhabitants.
The game's world is designed to encourage experimentation, observation, and exploration, with multiple paths, secrets, and opportunities available to players. Combat is fast-paced and lethal, with players able to use firearms, melee combat, throwable weapons, and supernatural abilities to take down enemies. The game also features a progressing timeline that responds to the player's actions, with NPCs following their own routines and events unfolding over time. The full release includes extensive refinements, new music and audiovisual content, and expanded graphical customization options.
