KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS has shared new details and a teaser video for the upcoming animated series Death Stranding: Isolations, set to stream exclusively on Disney+ or other Disney Services in 2027. The series is a new story separate from the video games, following a young man and woman on an adventure in the world of Death Stranding.
It will be told through a traditional, hand-drawn 2D animation style, with some of Japan’s top animation talent at E&H production working to bring the series to life. Director Takayuki Sano stated that he approached the production with a strong sense of duty and responsibility, aiming to enhance the spirituality of those who consume it.
Renowned author Tow Ubukata joins the credited list as the Series Composition & Screenplay writer for the series.
