GTA 6 has generated over $750 million in preorders across PlayStation 5 and Xbox, according to data compiled by analytics firm Sensor Tower. The game is set to launch in two weeks, one of the most highly anticipated video game releases of all time. Fans of Rockstar's open-world action-adventure franchise are putting their money where their mouths are, with an estimated 7.71 million units sold as of November 3, translating to $751 million in profits. The preorder split between consoles is notable, with PlayStation holding a 74% - 26% lead over Xbox. This means that on PlayStation, roughly $559 million in revenue was accrued, while on Xbox, $192 million was made. The numbers are huge, and it’s likely due to fans purchasing the $100 Ultimate Edition of the game rather than its standard version. The Standard Edition of GTA 6 costs $80, a price that Rockstar's CEO Strauss Zelnick believes is a reflection of the game’s value and a “bargain.”
