Solo indie developer Stumpseed announced Exoplanet Settlers, an upcoming turn-based 4X space strategy game, on October 29, 2026. The game is set to launch on PC, iOS, and Android in April 2027. In Exoplanet Settlers, resources are physically located on the planet where they are harvested, requiring players to research transport technology and construct active supply lines to fuel their fleets and develop new colonies.

This localized economy turns spatial positioning into a weapon, allowing commanders to cripple rival empires by severing their supply arteries or capturing key logistics hubs. Fleets also move freely through open space, using cosmic geography for flanking and ambushes, and engage in hands-on, turn-based tactical battles when they clash.

As empires expand, players can link neighboring colonies into unified planetary complexes for massive strategic synergies, reducing late-game micromanagement bloat. Key features of Exoplanet Settlers include physical supply lines, unrestricted tactical movement, macro planetary complexes, late-game AI coalition, and deep strategy and customization options.

Players can wishlist the game on Steam today, ahead of its planned April 2027 release.
