Atari has appointed Matt Hall as EVP, Atari Mobile, a new position that will oversee the company's mobile gaming business. Hall, co-founder of Hipster Whale and creator of Crossy Road, will play a key role in executing Atari's unified cross-platform strategy. He will work across the company to make titles portable across engines and platforms, strengthen relationships with third-party mobile platforms, and build the infrastructure needed for regular releases on mobile and web alongside PC and console.

Hall will also ensure that valuable mobile IP reaches web, PC and console, and that the company's best-performing console and PC games reach mobile.

Atari's Chairman and CEO, Wade Rosen, believes that success in the mobile gaming business requires a disciplined strategy, technological optimization, multi-platform design and strong, creative IP. He sees Hall as a valued leader who is poised to play an important role in the long-term success of the company. Hall is excited to apply what he learned building Crossy Road across Atari's portfolio and to bring the company's best PC and console games to a larger audience.
