SEGA has announced that Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2, the official game of the Demon Slayer series, is now available for purchase on Nintendo Switch 2. The new edition includes key improvements to the original Nintendo Switch version, including a 60 FPS framerate and superior graphics. In addition to the Standard Local 2-player mode and Online Battle mode, the game features multi-generational support for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 users, allowing even more players to join the fight.
Owners of the physical or digital edition of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 for Nintendo Switch can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version for free via a free update pass. However, the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Il Castello dell'Infinito" character pass is not included in the update pass and must be purchased separately from the Nintendo eShop.
The series has also reached a milestone, with the Hinokami Chronicles series, including Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles and Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2, selling over 6 million units. The game is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
